The Imran Firasat Case Presented at the European Parliament

As a follow-up to the previous post, below is the presentation of the Imran Firasat case to the European Parliament yesterday in Strasbourg by MEP Gerard Batten of UKIP:

From the notes accompanying the video:

The EU legislation responsible for Spain’s actions, namely Framework Decision 2008/913/JHA, was exposed in the Strasbourg European Parliament yesterday, by Gerard Batten MEP, London Region representative of the UK Independence Party (EFD Group).

This terrifying document, in force in EU states since 2010, even goes so far as sanctioning terminating, through criminal law, the employment of those accused of speech and thought crimes. [Article 6(1.)(b)]

The document may be read in full here (pdf).

Mr Batten is a long-standing and respected member of the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee.

Could we have a comment from the President of the United States concerning this matter please.

After all the gentleman is being held to have slandered Islam and we know that Mr Obama has said that there is no future for such people. So presumably he would be happy for him to be handed over to the raging mob as soon as he touches down in Pakistan.

As for Spain, I bet Ferdinand and Isabella are rotating in their graves at a rate of 100 revolutions per second. I can just see Isabella turning to Ferdi and saying,"What the bloody hell did we bother booting those Moors out of Spain for?"

Thank God someone is doing something
to support Imran's perfectly normal
and reasonable behaviour. The Spanish
Government are a bunch of total
arseholes.

Wow - dynamite reporting Baron - you won't read about that document in the mainstream media, that's for sure!

You'll notice that they say the national laws can't "currently" be streamlined.

Why don't they outlaw the koran btw - it seems to fit all their definitions about expressing "hatred" towards groups defined by their non-Muslim religion etc?

Present day's PC Spanish Government can not and will not erase the collective memory of a nation. We are not Norwegians¡ We know pretty well how moors act when they rule. It is not by accident that our Patron Saint is Santiago Matamoros (Saint James, the Moor-Slayer), the most important national holiday the 25 of July. Here a picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santiago_Matamoros
